Gwen + Chris Charlotte wedding photographer

I have never worked with a more laid-back bride. Gwen was carefree the day I met her and Chris last summer to discuss their wedding, but I had no idea that she would have that same demeanor on the day of their actual wedding! I love how simple, clean, and crisp her style is. I love how much fun she is to be around and how that was evident throughout the entire day! I have also never met a groom who was so into all the details! The itinerary that Chris presented me with was 3 pages long, and “that’s just for Saturday” he told me. I loved it.

Chris and Gwen were married at Myers Park United Methodist Church followed by a fabulous reception at the Mint Museum uptown, complete with a “beach music” style band! I had so much fun with this group, including Gwen’s precious bridesmaids (!)! Enjoy this slideshow of their day!

Last night I had the privilege of photographing a lady and her family that is very near and dear to my family’s heart. Ms. Yascur has been the shining light that has greeted both of my babies as they began their preschool journey. She has an incredible way of making a 2yr. old preschool experience one like no other. And despite her own personal journey, she remains a bright light for all to see. She blesses families daily and we are so grateful to have her a part of our lives! Here are some moments from her family’s photo session last night….

i love Jesus. i married my high school sweetheart and he is my best friend. i have two amazing children. i am completely smitten with them. i love Chick-Fil-A sweet tea. i may be a bit of a sweet tea snob. i'm ok with that. my absolute favorite month of the year is October. i have always wanted to visit australia and have a pet monkey. it's true. christmas is my favorite holiday. i keep a blanket on myself 365 days a year while inside my house. i love cozy fleece pants and big comfy sweatshirts. i laugh. a lot. so much that i cry. and my laugh is kinda loud. i hate doing laundry. for real. i have watched every season of "24" and "Survivor". i tend to act like a kid sometimes. i love friends and i have some of the greatest. i have been involved with younglife for almost 15 years. frontier ranch is one of my most favorite places on earth. i am a very plain eater. i don't like a lot of vegetables or crazy foods. i eat Chick-Fil-A at least once a week. sometimes twice or more. i hate humidity. it does horrible things to my hair. i love to have fun and be silly.
