This morning I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most amazing families I know. And this family has many reasons to smile and laugh and just play together. Eli, the youngest member of the Roe family has been battling childhood Leukemia since last summer. This is the 2nd family that I have watched walk through the junk, the heartache, the valleys and the mountain tops that come along with a child with cancer. And more than ever, I watched the Roe family cling to our Heavenly Father, knowing and trusting that ALL things are from Him and have passed straight through His hands before they ever reach us. I have read Anne’s caringbridge posts about the worst of times and the mini-celebrations that come along the way. This entire family has dealt with cancer, as it effects every single person in a different way. It was so amazing to see precious Eli this morning, with a head full of hair where there once was NONE, laughing, acting silly, playing with his brother, and loving on his parents….just like a 3 year old boy should. Praise be to God. I would love for you to jump over to Eli’s caringbridge site and join with the hundreds of people already praying for this incredible family. Treatment for Leukemia last many years, but it is a joy to see this family through what was hopefully the hardest part of it all!!
you just know that when the first click of my shutter produces THIS, it’s gonna be a great session![]()

I have NO idea what Anne was doing with Eli’s arms, but I like to think this is a “V” for “VICTORY”!!! ![]()
